Welcome to the Baby Saval Blog. We deeply appreciate all the support and well wishes thus far. In an effort to keep everyone well informed, we have created this site. Please visit our blog as often as you like. After all, this is for you!
Ok. I finally got my Internet working. It is 2:17pm and Jennifer is in labor. Her water was broken around 1 pm and she got the epidural shortly after, thank god. The contractions became extremely painful. So, she is now 6cm and we are waiting. Doc said we should have a baby by 5-6 pm. We will see...Yes. Jennifer is single handily bringing back the peace sign.
...and the countdown begins. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged this blog. It is nice to know that so many people care. Truly. As of Thursday, Jennifer was 2cm and 90% effaced. We have taken daily walks which are getting longer and longer. We are trying to get this baby out. Here are some new photos of my beautiful wife. How does she maintain that smile? Doesn't she know that labor is eminent? On a lighter note, Joey remains in high spirits... Lucy, not so much.
We hope everyone had a great weekend. I thought I would update the blog with the "weekly belly photo". We have been photographing Jennifer's belly since about her 6th week of pregnancy. *Jennifer loves when I scroll from the week 6 photo to the present. (*dripping with sarcasm) She is going to kill me for posting that. Anyhow, we hope nobody gets a case of the Mondays tomorrow. Over and out...
Happy Thursday? So, Jennifer is still at 2 cm's and 90% effaced, or "a thin 2" as we say in the industry. Here are some pictures of the nursery for the out-of-towners. Keep the requests coming. Also, Jennifer insisted that I post a picture of our beasts, Joey and Lucy. They too await Baby...why do they look so sad?
So, there was no action over the weekend. I am seriously losing patience with my wife's cervix. However, still getting 7-8 hours of sleep is quite nice. Also, I am glad everyone is enjoying this blog. Please stay tuned...
So, we decided that Jennifer is going into labor. We are currently at the hospital in labor and delivery. We don't know anything yet, but I will update everyone as we progress. FYI, this is my first BLOG. I apologize if I am over communicating, but this is a great way to deal with the anxiety.
It is Friday at noon and there is much activity on and about the belly. As of yesterday, Jennifer was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. We (meaning she) was up most of the night with consistent contractions. But, they tapered. I just spoke with her and they are once again consistent. Today could be the day....
